Duties
- Assist with food preparation and cooking under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
- Support meal assembly, plating, and presentation to ensure appealing dishes
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in accordance with food safety standards
- Help with food storage, labeling, and inventory management to minimize waste
- Serve meals to guests or customers in a courteous and efficient manner
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- Support the team during busy service periods by performing basic catering tasks and ensuring smooth operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety protocols
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards learning new skills
- Basic culinary experience or training is preferred; willingness to learn on the job is essential
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings as needed
