Are you ready to kick-start your career in finance? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Finance Assistant (Entry) to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of finance activities within a fast-paced and growing aviation services business.
You will support the finance function primarily to assist with the development of its systems, procedures and controls through automation enhancements and development of AI tools. Delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, partnering with the wider business and provide IT support to the wider teams.
Responsibilities include:IT & Systems Support:
- Support the business in the use of AI and automation/digitisation of accounting streams
- Work towards becoming a Microsoft365 champion
- Support IT procurement for the wider business
- Help maintain asset lists across multiple sites
- Assist Lead Accountants with process and control audits/updates
Day-to-Day Finance Tasks
- Input supplier invoices and assist with payment processing
- Raise customer invoices and help track incoming payments
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
- Time and attendance tracking to support payroll processing
Reconciliations & Controls
- Assist with bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Help identify and resolve discrepancies
Month-End Support
- Support the preparation of monthly accounts
- Assist with basic journal entries and data gathering
Cash & Expenses
- Help monitor daily cash movements
- Process employee expenses in-line with company policy
General Support
- Provide administrative support to the finance team
- Assist with audits and ad hoc finance tasks
- Support continuous improvement of finance processes

Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline
- Minimum of 3 A Levels including mathematics with a minimum Grade B
- GCSE English & Mathematics A (7-9) Grades
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good Organisational and communication skills
Desirable:
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Have working knowledge of AI tools
- Experience with accounting software (e.g. Business Central, Sage)
- Interest in pursuing a professional qualification (ACCA or CIMA)
