Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled General Maintenance Person to join our team. As a General Maintenance Person, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's facilities and equipment. We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual to perform a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the hotel's facilities are safe and well-maintained. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work independently.
Responsibilities
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs
* Conduct inspections of hotel facilities and equipment to identify areas for repair or replacement
* Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and extend equipment life
* Respond to maintenance requests from hotel staff and guests in a timely and efficient manner
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operation of hotel services
Experience
- Proven experience in maintenance roles
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry principles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in a hotel or similar environment would be beneficial but not essential
