As part of our continued investment in people and technology, we are looking to recruit an experienced CAD Operator to join our production team, operating our state-of-the-art Zünd and Kongsberg digital cutting tables.

The Role
Working on our permanent late shift, you will take responsibility for operating our Zünd and Kongsberg digital cutting tables, producing high-quality finished components for a wide range of retail display and point-of-sale projects.
You will be experienced in working from CAD drawings and production files, ensuring products are manufactured accurately, efficiently and to the highest possible standards whilst meeting production schedules and customer deadlines.
This role requires excellent technical ability, strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of large format finishing and digital cutting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating Zünd and Kongsberg digital cutting tables.
- Setting up and running production jobs efficiently.
- Reading and interpreting CAD drawings, production tickets and cutting files.
- Producing FSDUs, CDUs, retail display, POS and other large format display products to exact specifications.
- Selecting the correct tooling and cutting methods for different substrates.
- Performing routing, through-cutting, kiss-cutting, creasing and finishing operations.
- Ensuring finished products meet the highest quality standards.
- Carrying out routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
- Troubleshooting machine or quality issues where required.
- Ensuring production targets and delivery deadlines are achieved.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation.
- Following all Health & Safety procedures.
- Working closely with colleagues across the print and finishing departments.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience operating Zünd, Kongsberg or similar digital cutting tables.
- Experience working from CAD drawings and production files.
- A strong understanding of FSDUs, CDUs, retail display, POS and other large format display products.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce consistently high-quality work.
- Experience working to demanding production schedules.
- A proactive, positive attitude with the ability to work independently.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- A commitment to producing high-quality work every time.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience using cutting software.
- Experience within POS, display graphics or retail display manufacturing.
- Experience cutting a wide range of rigid and flexible substrates including corrugated board, Foamex, Dibond, polypropylene and acrylic.
- Basic knowledge of ArtiosCAD or similar structural CAD software.
