Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of our care home. This position requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including offices, restrooms, and common spaces.
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitised and free from dust and debris.
- Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to residents, families and staff requests and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Assist with additional tasks as required.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or care home environments is preferred but not essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and residents.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends.
- A willingness to learn new skills related to cleaning techniques and equipment usage.
