SMART Repair Network & Operations Specialist
Salary: £32,000–£38,000 depending on experience + performance bonus
Location: Brentwood, Essex – Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days home) with occasional UK travel
About Axioma
Axioma is one of the UK's leading mobile SMART repair providers, operating a nationwide network of hundreds of independent repairers and technicians.
We work with consumers, fleets, insurers and automotive businesses across the UK, using technology and our nationwide network to make vehicle repairs faster, simpler and more cost-effective.
The Opportunity
We're looking for someone with a background in automotive repair, SMART repair, bodyshop, fleet, dealership or accident management who has the ambition and potential to develop into a broader operations role.
You'll join our Operations team managing the day-to-day performance of Axioma's nationwide repair network. This will include allocating repairs, working closely with repairers, assessing jobs, solving operational problems and making sure repairs are completed efficiently and on time.
As you develop, you'll take increasing ownership of repairer performance, network capacity, geographical coverage, quality and commercial performance. For the right person, there is a clear pathway to progress into a Network & Operations Manager role.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage day-to-day relationships with our nationwide network of independent SMART repairers.
- Allocate repairs based on location, availability, capability, customer requirements, cost and service levels.
- Assess vehicle damage and determine SMART repair suitability and appropriate repair methods.
- Support estimating and pricing decisions, balancing customer requirements, repair quality and commercial considerations.
- Monitor jobs from allocation through to completion, identifying and resolving delays, cancellations and problem repairs.
- Monitor repairer performance across lead times, quality, acceptance rates and customer satisfaction.
- Identify gaps in network capacity and geographical coverage and support the recruitment and onboarding of new repairers.
- Use operational data to identify problems, trends and opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
- Work with the wider team to improve processes, systems and the overall customer experience.
- Take increasing ownership of individual repairers, regions and operational projects as you develop.
What We're Looking For
We're more interested in potential and the right foundations than someone who has already done this exact job.
We're looking for someone with:
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with technicians, repairers, customers and colleagues.
- Experience in automotive repair, SMART repair, bodyshop, fleet, dealership or accident management.
- A good understanding of vehicle body repairs and repair processes.
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A practical, problem-solving mindset and the confidence to find solutions rather than simply pass problems on.
- Good IT skills and confidence working with systems, data and reports.
- The ability to build strong relationships and challenge people when standards or service levels aren't being met.
- Commercial awareness and a genuine ambition to take on increasing responsibility.
- A full UK driving licence.
Experience with Excel, CRM systems or workflow platforms such as Monday.com would be useful, but isn't essential.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone ambitious, commercially minded and naturally operational — someone who can learn quickly, take ownership and develop into a broader operations role.
What You'll Get
- £32,000–£38,000 salary depending on experience.
- Performance-related bonus.
- Hybrid working – 3 days in our Brentwood office and 2 days from home.
- 25 days holiday + UK bank holidays.
- Hands-on training and development.
- Direct exposure to the management of a nationwide automotive repair network.
- Increasing responsibility and autonomy as you develop.
- A clear opportunity to progress into a Network & Operations Manager position.
- The opportunity to develop your operational, commercial and management skills within a rapidly growing automotive business.
Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
