We are looking for a reliable, hard-working, and safety-conscious Warehouse Operative to join our close-knit operations team and help us keep that promise.
The Role
As a Warehouse Operative, you will be the heartbeat of our distribution process. You will ensure that industrial paints, heavy equipment, and delicate consumables are received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and safely. Because we handle specialized coatings and chemicals, accuracy and safety are our absolute top priorities.
Key Responsibilities

- Goods Inward: Unload delivery vehicles, check incoming stock against delivery notes, report any discrepancies or damages, and safely store items in their designated racking areas.
- Dispatch Readiness: Prepare pallets and parcels for daily courier collection, ensuring all dangerous goods (hazardous chemical labels) are correctly documented and placed.
- Inventory Control: Assist with regular stock checks and inventory audits to maintain high levels of stock traceability and accuracy.
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to Health & Safety guidelines, specifically relating to the safe handling and storage of paints, solvents, and industrial equipment.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy warehouse and yard space to ensure a safe working environment for the whole team.
Requirements & Skills
- Experience: Previous experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment is highly desirable.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to handle physical work, including lifting and moving heavy paint canisters and pallets.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy when picking orders and checking stock codes—getting the right product to the right customer the first time is vital.
- Forklift License: A valid Counterbalance license is required
- Team Player: A loyal, hard-working attitude that aligns with our core values, with the ability to adapt as daily volumes shift.
