Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service to create a welcoming shopping experience
- Assist with the sorting, pricing, and displaying of donated items to ensure an attractive shop environment
- Operate the cash register, handle transactions accurately, and manage cash and card payments securely
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the shop, including tidying shelves and ensuring stock is well-presented
- Support inventory management by recording donations received and updating stock records efficiently
- Answer customer inquiries, offer assistance, and promote ongoing campaigns or special sales events
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold health and safety standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service or retail is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm is key!
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Basic IT skills for operating point-of-sale systems and maintaining simple administrative records
- Ability to perform light physical tasks such as lifting boxes of donations and standing for extended periods
- Administrative experience helpful for managing donation logs or inventory records
- A proactive attitude with the willingness to learn new skills and support team efforts
