You have an excellent track record of successfully leading a team of staff, all of whom are committed to providing high quality care. You are adept at managing and resolving challenging situations, you provide a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment and you strive for the very best outcome for the children in your care. You believe that you can make a difference to young people's lives.
You are an excellent role model and team player, organised, forward thinking and compliant with Ofsted statutory regulations, policies and procedures.
A driver is ideal
Requirements and role
- At least 2 years experience of managing a team in a residential children’s home,
- Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care
- Sound knowledge of Ofsted framework and legislation for safeguarding,
- Care planning and securing referrals
- Accurately record children’s health and progress
- Quickly and calmly resolve challenging situations,
- Review and updating policies,
- Manage staff rotas,
- Ensure the home is well resourced,
- Arrange staff training
- Plan enriching activities and experiences for the children
Compensation package
£50,000 - £60,000 pa
Performance related bonus
Flexible hours
FT 40 hours per week (some weekends/on-call)
