Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (LD & EBD)
Location: Castle Donington
Salary: £48,000 - £55,000 per annum
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home in Castle Donington supporting young people with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
We are seeking a passionate and experienced leader who has previously opened and registered a children’s home with Ofsted and is confident in building a stable, high-performing service. You will work closely with an experienced Responsible Individual (RI) within a supportive and child-focused organisation.
The service aims to provide a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where young people can achieve positive outcomes and long-term stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management of the children’s home
- Support the opening and Ofsted registration process where required
- Ensure high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance
- Build, lead, and develop a committed staff team
- Promote positive outcomes for children and young people
- Maintain effective care planning and risk management processes
- Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Develop strong relationships with local authorities and external professionals
- Work collaboratively with the RI and senior leadership team
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager in children’s residential care
- Must have experience opening and registering a new service with Ofsted
- Experience supporting young people with LD and EBD
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted regulations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
