Job description: Domestic Assistant
We are a 42 bedded Nursing Home set in idyllic grounds in the heart of the Shropshire Hills. We are seeking dedicated and proactive Care Assistants to work at Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home, Minsterley.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specific Duties Include:
- Helps to maintain a safe, healthy and pleasant environment for colleagues and Service Users.
- Ensures the facility and all furnishings are clean and tidy at all times.
- Carries out cleaning duties in accordance with the cleaning schedule.
- Ensures that all cleaning equipment is used and stored safely.
- Reports any defects faults or maintenance requirements to cleaning equipment or furnishings.
- Uses and stores cleaning products in accordance with COSHH regulations.
- Ensures adequate cleaning supplies are available at all times.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Operation of cleaning equipment.
- COSHH / Health and Safety.
- Moving and handling
- Infection Control
- Friendly, professional, and willing to work as part of a team.
- Positive, can-do attitude.
- Team Player

This is a hands-on role in a supportive care setting, ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, and making a real difference in a community-focused environment.
Experience of working within a Care Home is desirable
