The Alma Inn and dining rooms is a busy free house inn located just yards from the sea in historic Harwich, we offer great food seven days a week and have 11 lovely guest bedrooms. We are currently seeking a hard-working experienced chefs to join our expanding team in delivering excellent food in a proper pub.
Working as part of an established team you will bring a passion for fresh, local, seasonal produce and experience of working with the wonderful and abundant seafood landed just yards from our door. In addition to cooking your role will be to support the head chef in the daily running of the kitchen, assist with ordering and stock control and ensuring hygiene standards are maintained.
Our kitchen is staffed from 7am until 10pm 7 days a week and shifts will be on a rota basis including evening, weekends and bank holidays. Your salary is negotiable depending on experience plus generous staff discount and tips.
