Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate South Indian Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in South Indian cuisine, with proven skills in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic South Indian dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee daily food production activities, maintaining efficiency and quality control
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations
- Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and proper storage practices
- Lead the team in food presentation, ensuring dishes are served attractively and promptly
- Assist in menu planning and development of new South Indian recipes
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor stock levels and place orders for ingredients as needed
- Uphold hospitality standards by engaging with customers when required
Requirements
- Proven experience in South Indian cuisine, with a strong culinary background specialising in regional dishes
- Supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Solid knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively, with leadership qualities and organisational skills
- Experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen operations within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Excellent understanding of hospitality service standards, including serving procedures
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable; relevant culinary qualifications are advantageous

Pay: £12.21-£19.27 per hour
