We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our professional catering team at Trinity School in Teignmouth, Devon.
Working alongside our Head Chef and a team of seven colleagues, you will help provide an excellent catering service for up to 350 pupils and staff, with children from 2 years of age upwards. About the Role
Working Hours: 40 hours per week with evenings (until 8pm) and weekends on rotation.
Contract Type: Permanent, All Year Round
Salary: Depending on experience

As Chef de Partie, you will take responsibility for your section while supporting the Head Chef and wider team in delivering a smooth, efficient and high-quality catering service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present food to an excellent standard.
- Take responsibility for your section, ensuring it is organised, clean and ready for service.
- Support the preparation and service of meals for pupils and staff.
- Maintain excellent standards of food quality, presentation and portion control.
- Follow food hygiene, health and safety and allergen management requirements at all times.
- Support effective stock management and help minimise food waste.
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team, particularly during busy service periods.
- Contribute positively to the standards and continued development of the School's catering provision.
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a minimum Level 2 Catering/Culinary qualification, or equivalent.
- Hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification.
- Have at least two years' experience in a professional kitchen.
- Demonstrate strong all-round culinary skills.
- Have a good understanding of food safety, hygiene and allergen management.
- Work calmly and efficiently within a busy kitchen.
- Be organised, reliable and an effective team player.
- Understand the responsibilities involved in catering for children and young people.
