Salary/Hourly Pay: £14.25ph
Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours a week
Location: Barrow, LA14 4QR
As a Plant Operative you will assist the site management in the daily operation of site plant to complete site operations, on time and within budget. You will be quality-focused and take a key role in the day-to-day operation of site activities, ensuring that activities are undertaken efficiently and effectively to deliver a high standard of operations.

How you’ll make an impact
- Operate and maintain plant and machinery in MRF areas of the site. Machines and plant such as: Telescopic handlers, Forklift truck, Baling / Compactor equipment.
- Complete daily checks and defect reporting for the plant, keeping plant clean (inside and out)
- Participate in skip waste sorting and the positive picking of larger items of recyclables from tipped vehicles, ensuring the sorting plant isn’t damaged by larger items
- Ability to work safely under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Flexible and proactive approach to work
Qualifications / Experience
Essential:
- Relevant Plant Qualifications such Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) or equivalent.
- Applicants must have a valid NPORS or equivalent Telehandler ticket.
- Previous experience of operating plant and machinery will also be required.
