Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of a vibrant children’s residential care facility. This vital role involves ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of children in our care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the residential children’s home, ensuring a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for all children.
- Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs, including those requiring specialized support such as dementia or mental health considerations.
- Supervise and support care staff by providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to promote best practices in child care.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safeguarding policies, and quality standards governing children’s residential services.
- Oversee daily operations including admissions, discharge planning, medication administration, and record keeping to ensure smooth functioning of the home.
- Foster strong relationships with external agencies such as social services, healthcare providers, and educational institutions to support holistic child development.
- Promote a positive team culture focused on leadership, continuous improvement, and exceptional care delivery.
Skills
- Proven experience managing children’s homes or similar residential care settings with a focus on safeguarding and child welfare.
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience within care environments.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations related to children’s residential services and safeguarding protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, children, families, and external agencies.
- Ability to develop comprehensive care plans that address individual needs including mental health conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer’s where applicable.
- Experience working with diverse populations requiring assisted living or nursing home-level support; familiarity with medication administration is advantageous.
- Demonstrated commitment to high standards of care quality, safety procedures, and continuous staff development.

Pay: £38,575.74-£63,035.21 per year
