Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Conversion Quality Inspector to carry out inspections of completed conversions. The successful candidate will be accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of inspections and maintain a constant standard. You will ensure all conversions meet correct specification, comply with safety, manufacturer and type approval requirements.
This role is vital in maintaining product integrity, safety, and compliance with industry regulations. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about quality assurance and continuous improvement within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Duties
Carry out Quality Control inspections to completed conversions in line with QMS. Checking the completion of all relevant paperwork
Carry out inspections and audits as required across the business in line with QMS
Report issues with the inspections/audits, to relevant fitter, team leaders or department head
Carry out instructions from Supervisors and team leaders
Provide help and support to the QC team leader
Transfer skills to other team members
Work as part of a team
Recognise and implement improvements through continuous monitoring
Recognise and report quality issues
Carry out inspections in line with QMS
Record accurate technical data
Take pictures of completed conversions
Calibrate vehicle weighing systems
Recognise and report continuous quality issues
Maintain good house keeping
Uphold health and safety protocols

Correctly use tools and equipment
Have a good understanding of the conversion process
Have good attention to detail
Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all relevant specs
Ability to put right snags if required
Ability to read and interpret audit documents
Hours of work
Monday to Wednesday 07:00 - 16:00
Thursday 07:00 - 15:00
Friday 08:00 - 12:00
Pay: From £27,154.00 per year
