Duties
- Monitor the premises continuously using CCTV systems to identify suspicious activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Conduct regular surveillance patrols throughout the site to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access
- Implement loss prevention measures by inspecting bags, packages, and personnel as needed
- Respond swiftly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid when necessary
- Maintain detailed records of security activities, incident reports, and surveillance logs for accountability and review
- Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Collaborate with emergency services and internal teams to coordinate responses during incidents or alarms
Skills
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and CCTV operation for effective monitoring
- Experience in loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and asset loss
- Ability to perform first aid procedures confidently in emergency situations
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail during patrols and surveillance tasks
- Clear communication skills for reporting incidents accurately and liaising with emergency responders
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple security responsibilities
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods during shifts
