We are seeking a reliable and professional 3.5t Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring excellent customer service throughout each journey. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 3.5-tonne van for daily deliveries to clients and distribution centres
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet scheduling requirements
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, maintaining proper manual handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery times and any unforeseen issues
- Complete all required documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
- Conduct routine vehicle checks before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are maintained
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle at all times, reporting any maintenance concerns promptly
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience with warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when required
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
- Good organisational skills for route planning and time management
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best driving practices
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality
