Front of House Restaurant Team Member
The Inn at Àird a' Bhàsair – Ardvasar, Isle of Skye
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and hardworking Front of House Team Member to join our team at The Inn at Àird a' Bhàsair, a busy hotel, bar, and restaurant overlooking the stunning Sound of Sleat on the Isle of Skye.
If you enjoy providing excellent customer service, working as part of a close-knit team, and creating memorable dining experiences for guests from around the world, we'd love to hear from you.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Welcome and seat guests in a warm and professional manner.
- Take food and drink orders accurately using our EPOS system.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high service standards.
- Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, including alcoholic beverages.
- Set up and clear restaurant tables.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the restaurant and bar areas.
- Restock cutlery, crockery, condiments, and service stations.
- Assist with breakfast, lunch, and evening service.
- Process payments accurately.
- Answer guest enquiries and provide information about the hotel and local area.
- Help maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
- Follow all food hygiene, licensing, health & safety, and company procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Previous hospitality or restaurant experience preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure.
- Well presented with a professional appearance.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A team player with a strong work ethic.
