Job Title: Construction Site Labourer (Minimum 4‑Week Term)
Location: Marne Barracks
Contract: Temporary — minimum 4 weeks (possibility to extend)
Hours: Full time 0730 to 1700
About the role
We are seeking reliable, hard‑working site labourers to support site preparation and general labouring tasks at Marne Barracks. You will work closely with site managers to move fencing, prepare compounds, clear and tidy work areas, and carry out other physical tasks to get sites ready for trades.
Key duties
- Move, install and remove temporary fencing and barriers
- Assist site managers with site setup, cleaning and preparation
- Load/unload materials and equipment; manual handling of goods
- Sweep, clear debris and maintain safe, tidy site areas
- Follow site safety procedures and use PPE as required
- Carry out other general labouring tasks as directed
Requirements
- Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling and repetitive lifting
- Reliable, punctual and able to work with minimal supervision
- Basic understanding of site safety; willing to wear PPE (boots, hi‑vis, hard hat)
- Right to work in the UK and ability to obtain base access ID (bring valid photo ID)
- Previous construction/site labour experience and CSCS card desirable but not essential
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- CSCS Card is essential
