Are you passionate about supporting learners with special educational needs? Parkview Academy is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team.
You will work with primary, secondary, or Post-16 learners, supporting them individually and in small groups. You'll help students build good attendance, positive relationships, routines, trust, and respect, while contributing to their learning and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with learning difficulties and disabilities in and out of lessons.
- Encourage independent learning, study skills, motivation, and confidence.
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons, preparing resources, and supervising practical tasks.
- Support pupils with physical needs and help them record work appropriately.
- Monitor pupil progress, provide feedback, and maintain records including IEPs, PHPs, and risk assessments.
- Promote inclusion, positive behaviour, and a safe, supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN, complex needs, or challenging behaviour.
- Understanding of SEND and statutory guidance.
- Level 2 qualifications in English/literacy and maths/numeracy (or equivalent).
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Ability to establish relationships quickly with young people and families with complex needs.
- This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.

Pay: £23,300.00-£27,800.00 per year
