A rare opportunity has arisen to join the award-winning team at Monachyle Mhor Hotel, one of Scotland's most unique luxury boutique hotels. Set in a spectacular rural location overlooking Loch Voil, the hotel offers 18 individually designed bedrooms, several luxury self-catering properties and an exclusive events space.
We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team and ensure every area of the hotel is maintained to exceptional five-star standards.
The Role
As Head Housekeeper, you'll lead by example, working alongside your team while overseeing the day-to-day housekeeping operation. You'll be responsible for maintaining impeccable standards, developing your team and ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and train the housekeeping team.
- Manage daily housekeeping across the hotel, self-catering properties and public areas.
- Inspect rooms and ensure five-star presentation standards.
- Prepare staff rotas and support recruitment and training.
- Manage linen, laundry and housekeeping stock.
- Complete housekeeping reports, stocktakes and ordering.
- Maintain lost property procedures.
- Prepare staff accommodation for new arrivals.
- Ensure compliance with COSHH, Health & Safety and safe working practices.
- Carry out quality checks, safety audits and risk assessments.
- Work closely with Reception and Maintenance to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
About You
You'll have:
- Previous experience in a Head Housekeeper or Senior Housekeeping role within a hotel.
- Proven team leadership experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- A positive, friendly and organised approach.
- Excellent communication skills and spoken English.
- A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety procedures.
- Flexibility to work weekends and busy periods.
