Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Barista to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where attention to detail and a passion for coffee are highly valued. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided to ensure you excel in your role.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, according to company standards.
- Greet customers warmly and assist with menu selections to enhance their experience.
- Operate coffee machines and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including counters, equipment, and storage spaces.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using the point-of-sale system.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Uphold health and safety standards at all times, adhering to hygiene protocols.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.
Experience
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is desirable but not mandatory; full training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- A genuine interest in coffee and beverages is preferred, along with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required.
