About the Role
Staffordshire Specialist Care Centre is looking for an experienced and compassionate Night Unit Manager to join our team.
As a Unit Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of your unit, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered to our residents. You will lead by example, providing guidance, support and mentorship to care staff while promoting a safe, person-centred environment that enables residents to receive exceptional care and support.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily running of the unit and ensure high-quality care is consistently delivered.
- Lead, support, and develop care staff, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- Ensure residents receive person-centred care that meets their individual needs and preferences.
- Maintain a safe, caring, and supportive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
- Monitor care standards and ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the wider management team to promote continuity of care and positive outcomes for residents.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum NVQ level 3 in care or equivalent care qualification
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Senior Carer in care and support setting
- Previous experience in a leadership or management role within a care home or similar healthcare setting is essential.
- A strong understanding of dementia care and the needs of individuals living with cognitive impairments.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to motivate, support, and develop team members.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding care and improving residents' quality of life.
