Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Quality Assurance professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and safety, supporting continuous improvement processes within our organisation. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections and tests on products throughout various stages of production to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures in line with industry regulations and company policies.
- Analyse data from quality checks to identify trends, root causes of issues, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns promptly and effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, non-conformances, and corrective actions taken.
- Assist in the development and delivery of training programmes related to quality assurance protocols.
- Support internal audits and facilitate external inspections as required.
- Stay updated on relevant industry standards such as HACCP and other regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage the cleaning staff. Oversee all hygiene schedules & cleaning procedures, with regular audits.
- Coordinate and execute deep-cleaning activities on equipment
- Monitor safety and hygiene standards.
- Manage the prevention of build-up & contamination on equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all hygiene & maintenance tasks & all relevant training records. Starting and closing checks etc.
- Adhere and implement health & safety and food hygiene standards.
- Work with consultant to work towards salsa accreditation and renewing quality manual. New starter inductions for food hygiene and health and safety.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
- Traceability
- Ensure that all staff have the relevant PPE & that it is worn & used correctly and following food safety requirements.
- Cover some office roles when on staff on annual leave.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing or food production environment.
- Strong understanding of HACCP principles and their application in ensuring product safety.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret data accurately and make informed decisions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and best practices.
- Organised, meticulous, with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, capable of working collaboratively across departments.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in quality management or food safety are desirable but not essential. Pay: £15,600.00-£39,000.00 per year
