The Role
As an important member of our accounts team, you'll be responsible for keeping our clients' bookkeeping accurate and up to date while providing excellent service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
- Reconciling bank accounts and maintaining accurate financial records
- Processing purchase and sales invoices
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Preparing VAT returns and assisting with month-end procedures
- Liaising with clients to resolve bookkeeping queries
- Working with cloud accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
- Supporting the wider accounts team with additional duties as required
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers and takes pride in producing accurate work.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice or similar finance role
- AAT qualified or currently studying AAT (part-qualified candidates are very welcome)
- Experience using Xero (preferred), QuickBooks or Sage
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
- A friendly, professional manner with excellent communication skills
- A willingness to learn and develop your career
