Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Roofing Labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will assist with various roofing projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on-site. Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
- Prepare work sites by organising materials and setting up scaffolding or safety barriers
- Handle heavy lifting of roofing materials such as shingles, tiles, or metal sheets
- Operate and maintain various power tools safely and effectively
- Support fabrication tasks, including cutting and shaping materials to specifications
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to adhere to health and safety regulations
- Assist in the installation of related systems such as plumbing or masonry components when required
Qualifications
- Previous construction experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for specific tasks
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication techniques is advantageous
- Knowledge of roofing systems, schematics, welding, carpentry, plumbing, masonry or related skills is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights on rooftops or scaffolding
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physically fit with the stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong teamwork ethic with a proactive approach to safety and quality standards

Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
