We have a vacancy within our engineering team for a trainee fire alarm systems engineer. This position involves providing servicing, installation, and maintenance in one or more of the following categories: fire alarms, emergency lights and fire extinguishers for our customers in Norfolk and Suffolk, with occasional work in other parts of East Anglia.

We’re looking for determined, hard-working candidates who have a strong desire to learn a new trade and are passionate about their work. You need to have an aptitude for acquiring practical skills. Some experience of working with electrical equipment is required as a foundation for the training that will be given.
We will train successful applicants on how to maintain fire alarm systems, emergency lights and fire extinguishers. The majority of your training would be in-house by being paired with our experienced engineers, this would be supplemented by external training courses where necessary.
To be eligible to apply for this position you will ideally satisfy the following:
· Education: College electrical & electronic engineering qualification
· Have some experience working with electrical equipment
· Able to participation in 24/7 on call rota currently about 5 days per month (once trained)
· Team player with good interpersonal & communication skills
· Self-motivated approach to work
· Flexible and enthusiastic
· Hold a full UK Driving licence

Hours:37.5 hour week Monday to Friday 8:00 to 16:30 plus overtime
Salary: Salary will depend on experience and qualifications
Pay: £25,420.00-£30,000.00 per year
