We’re looking for a breakfast /prep chef to join our talented team within our family-run group of hotels on the stunning Norfolk Coast – We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Breakfast Chef / Chef de Partie . The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast dishes to a high standard, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents within a professional kitchen environment, contributing to the overall success of our establishment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast dishes in accordance with recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all food preparation complies with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection for breakfast service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
- Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or expiry issues to management
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service during busy periods
- Serve breakfast dishes promptly and courteously to guests, maintaining high customer satisfaction standards
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of kitchen equipment and food storage
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques specific to breakfast cuisine
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Previous restaurant experience is desirable, particularly in breakfast or brunch service
- Ability to serve food courteously and professionally to guests
- Passion for culinary arts with a keen eye for detail and presentation
