Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for experienced or new pass drivers who are eager to kick-start their driving career in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of our logistics operation, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 (category C) tipper truck, delivering materials efficiently across various locations, and ensuring compliance with all safety and road regulations. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help us maintain our reputation for excellent service and timely deliveries.
Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 tipper truck, ensuring adherence to all road safety laws and company policies
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to guarantee the truck’s safety and readiness for each journey
- Deliver bulk materials to construction sites, industrial locations, or designated customer sites with precision and professionalism
- Assist with loading and unloading materials when necessary, ensuring secure placement in the tipper body
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including delivery notes and logs, to ensure smooth record-keeping
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including safe tipping practices and proper use of personal protective equipment
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license with no major endorsements
- Experience or interest in commercial driving, particularly with tipper trucks - new pass drivers considered (training programme available)
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and vehicle maintenance routines
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading, unloading, and securing cargo safely
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude on the road and at customer sites
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn in a team-oriented environment
