Care and Support Workers – Plymouth Area
£13.05 p/h
£80 per sleep
Part-Time and Full-Time roles considered
We are seeking organised, confident and caring individuals to join our team supporting a small number of people with learning disabilities and autism living in their own homes in the Plymouth area. This role will primarily involve supporting two gentlemen as part of their core teams, with the potential of covering additional hours with other people we support.
About the Role
You’ll be providing active support with daily living tasks, including:
- Cooking, cleaning, and personal care
- Administering medication and promoting good health
- Supporting with activities of interest and community engagement
- Offering mentorship, encouragement, and motivation
You’ll also play a key role in building positive relationships with families and friends, so professionalism and approachability are essential.
The role will involve working weekends but we believe in a good work-life balance, so do not expect people to work more than two weekends out of four. This role will also include regular sleep-in shifts.
What We’re Looking For
- A full UK driving licence (to support individuals in their own vehicles)
- Experience supporting people with autism and learning disabilities, knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support and understanding of Person-Centred Practice is desirable, however, we offer a full training and induction programme and a supportive working environment, so you don't necessarily need any previous experience.
- A can-do attitude and the desire to help the people we support live an active, healthy and fulfilling life.
