Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various settings, including commercial, hospitality, and private environments. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy creating tidy, welcoming spaces. Prior experience in janitorial services, hotel cleaning, or commercial cleaning is advantageous but not essential. This position is self-employed so staff are expected to have their own mode of transport to jobs and are paid per job.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to health and safety standards
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently and safely
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed within scheduled timeframes
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks such as carpet or window cleaning when required
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and presentation at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs professionally and courteously
Experience
- Previous experience in janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory
- Skills in customer service are considered beneficial but are not essential for this role
- Experience working in environments requiring attention to detail and discretion is advantageous
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high standard of work
- Good organisational skills and reliability are essential qualities for success in this position
