SRP Teaching Assistant – Harrow

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SRP (Specialist Resource Provision) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Harrow. The school is committed to ensuring that all pupils receive the support they need to achieve their full potential and has a strong reputation for its inclusive approach to education. The Specialist Resource Provision provides targeted support for pupils with additional needs, offering a structured, nurturing environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
The Role:
- Support pupils within the Specialist Resource Provision and in mainstream classroom settings where appropriate
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and other professionals to support individual learning and development plans
- Deliver targeted interventions to support communication, social skills, emotional regulation, and academic progress
- Adapt learning activities and resources to meet the individual needs of pupils
- Promote independence, confidence, and positive engagement in learning
- Support pupils with transitions, routines, and social interactions throughout the school day
- Assist with personal care and physical needs where required
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing regular feedback to teaching staff
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly within an SRP, SEND, or specialist setting
- Knowledge of supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), speech and language needs, or other additional learning needs is desirable
- Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
- Commitment to inclusive education and supporting every child's development
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
