We're an independent Caribbean restaurant and bar in the heart of Leeds, serving bold, authentic Jamaican food in a vibrant, welcoming space. As we grow, we're building out our kitchen team and looking for talented, reliable chefs at all levels who take pride in their cooking.

What the job involves
Depending on your role and experience, you may be:
- Preparing and cooking Caribbean and Jamaican dishes to our recipes and standards — jerk, curries, stews, rice and peas, sides and more
- Running a section confidently during busy service
- Handling daily prep, marinating, portioning, and stock rotation
- Managing ordering, deliveries and stock control (senior roles)
- Menu input, specials and recipe consistency (senior roles)
- Following all food safety, allergen and hygiene procedures
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and service-ready
- Supporting and training junior team members (senior roles)
- Working as part of the team to deliver consistent quality under pressure
Skills & experience we value
- Experience in a professional kitchen (Caribbean/Jamaican cuisine a strong plus, but we'll train the right person)
- Grill, sauté, fry and prep skills
- Knife skills and consistent portion control
- Ability to work fast, clean and organised during service
- Understanding of food safety, HACCP and allergen management
- Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Stock control, ordering and kitchen management experience (for senior roles)
- Team leadership and the ability to train others (for senior roles)
- Reliability, a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for food
- Calm under pressure and a good team player
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Right to work in the UK
