Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Room Leader to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this leadership role, you will oversee the daily operations of a nursery or preschool room, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your expertise in childcare, management, and early childhood education will inspire your team to deliver high-quality care while fostering positive developmental outcomes. Duties
As Room Leader, you will:
- Lead the day-to-day running of the Toddler Room.
- Plan and provide fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities.
- Support each child’s individual learning and development.
- Lead and motivate your room team, creating a positive and supportive atmosphere.
- Build strong and trusting relationships with children and their families.
- Ensure observations, assessments and planning are completed to a high standard.
- Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
- Work closely with the wider nursery team to provide excellent care and learning opportunities.
- Follow nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Previous nursery experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities; management or supervisory experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of early childhood education frameworks and best practices for childcare delivery
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead a team confidently and foster a positive work environment
- Must hold a full and relevant childcare or nursery qualification at Level 3 or higher (or equivalent)
