** Background
The Educational Multimedia Production Lead role is based within the Learning Design and Multimedia department, in the directorate of LEaD (Learning Enhancement and Development). LEaD develops and influences education at City St George’s, University of London, providing a multi-skilled service that supports staff and students. With line-management responsibility for Educational Multimedia Producers, this role will focus on management of the MILL (Media and Innovation Learning Lab) and working with staff to support them in creating high-quality multimedia teaching content
** Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role will be to manage and maintain a range of professional media hardware and software used in our multimedia production facilities, and working with staff to enable them to produce high-quality educational multimedia content. The role holder will lead on multimedia projects, offering logistical planning and technical expertise, and provide line management to Educational Multimedia producers. They will provide training to staff, and collaborate with LEaD colleagues to support departmental projects and priorities
** Person Specification
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience, and will demonstrate experience of delivering complex multimedia production projects and supporting multimedia facilities. They will be an expert user of multimedia creation and editing software, with expertise of working with cameras, lighting and audio. They will have proven interpersonal and communication skills that allow them to work with stakeholders including academic and professional services staff and students
