MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our Maintenance Team based in PMB, South Wales. This role will be reporting directly to the Operations Manager and will interact with all departments across the business. This is a great opportunity for a candidate that is looking to develop into a qualified Multi Skilled Engineer. The company will provide training for the ideal candidate to become a time served Multi Skilled Engineer. Work will be a mixture of reactive and planned tasks prioritised by the Maintenance Manager.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out both reactive and preventative mechanical maintenance activities to a designated plan & develop MTTR/MTBR analysis.
- Perform effective fault finding and repairs on plant and equipment.
- Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and production lines.
- Undertake machinery modification, improvement, and reliability‑focused engineering work.

EXPERIENCE
- Mechanical bias preferred with some electrical experience desirable.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is an advantage.
- Familiarity in masterbatch or plastics production desirable.
- Knowledgeable at interpreting mechanical / electrical drawings and technical specifications
- Basic computer literacy, as well as some experience of using CMMS software desirable
- Ability to work within a team and self-manage during shift hours.
- Good communicator across all departments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and highly customer focused.
PACKAGE:
- Up to £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
