Duties
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting clients warmly and understanding their needs
- Perform hair styling and barbering services according to client preferences and industry standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work station, ensuring hygiene protocols are adhered to at all times
- Consult with clients to recommend suitable styles, treatments, or products
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently to minimise wait times and maximise client satisfaction
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in hair styling and barbering
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure they are satisfied with the services provided
- Promote additional services or products where appropriate to enhance client experience
Requirements
- Proven experience in customer service, hair styling, or barbering roles is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English, enabling clear interaction with clients and team members
- Knowledge of current hair styling trends and barbering techniques
- Excellent organisational skills to manage appointments and maintain a tidy workspace
- Ability to work well within a team whilst also demonstrating independence when required
- Professional attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional client care
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in hairdressing or barbering are advantageous but not essential for all applicants.
Travel from Edinburgh is available or alternative travel fees can be covered.
