Pura Vida Dental – Private Practice
Walters Ash, High Wycombe | Part-Time Apprentice Dental Nurse
Pura Vida Dental is a family-run private dental practice in Walters Ash, High Wycombe. With three modern surgeries and a growing patient base, we are looking to welcome an enthusiastic Apprentice Dental Nurse to join our close-knit clinical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in dental nursing and gain a recognised dental nursing qualification while working within a supportive private practice environment.
You will receive practical training and hands-on experience within the practice, alongside your apprenticeship studies, working towards becoming a qualified and GDC-registered Dental Nurse.
Working Hours
- Part-time: Approximately 22 hours per week
- Working days: Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
- Hours will be structured to accommodate the apprentice's required study and off-the-job training
- Hourly paid, with salary dependent on contracted hours
The Role
As an Apprentice Dental Nurse, you will learn and develop the skills required to support the dental team and provide a high standard of patient care.
Your training will include:
- Assisting the dentist and wider clinical team during patient appointments
- Preparing and maintaining surgeries to a high clinical standard
- Learning and following infection prevention and decontamination protocols
- Preparing instruments and equipment for dental procedures
- Supporting patients before, during and after their appointments with professionalism and care
- Maintaining accurate and compliant clinical records
- Learning about dental materials, equipment and clinical procedures
- Supporting the smooth daily running of the practice
- Attending and completing the required apprenticeship training and study
- Working towards achieving your Level 3 Dental Nurse qualification and GDC registration

No previous dental nursing experience is required, although any experience working with people, in healthcare, customer service or a clinical environment would be advantageous.
