Job Purpose:
Supreme Care Services is a domiciliary care provider committed to delivering the highest quality care to service users in the comfort of their own homes. As a Care Worker, your role is to promote service users’ independence, dignity, and privacy, while ensuring their care needs are met safely, respectfully, and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality personal care in line with individual care plans.
- Promote the dignity, privacy, independence, and well-being of each service user.
- Support with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
- Prompt safe medication use as per care plans (no administration of medications or clinical/nursing tasks).
- Assist with mobility and appropriate use of equipment such as hoists, wheelchairs, stair lifts, and continence aids.
- Monitor and report any changes in health or behaviour to the care management team immediately.
- Maintain accurate and timely care records in the service user’s home and report all findings to the office.
- Operate in accordance with company policies and procedures, the Care Standards Act 2000, and relevant legislation (e.g., Data Protection, Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities).
- Maintain confidentiality at all times unless safeguarding concerns arise (in which case report immediately to the care manager).
- Participate in mandatory and ongoing training to support personal and professional development.
General Duties:
- Follow instructions and guidance from Care Managers, Coordinators, and office staff.
- Comply with all risk assessments and health & safety regulations within service users’ homes.
- Be vigilant in identifying and preventing any form of abuse or neglect.
- Provide consistent, compassionate care and support to service users and their families.
- Work flexibly and reliably, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Required Qualities and Skills:
- Compassionate, respectful, and trustworthy nature.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and act in the best interest of service users and the company.
- Willingness to work varied shifts as part of a rota system.
