We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childminding Assistant to join our vibrant childcare team. Responsibilities
To assist in all childminding related daily duties based mainly in my home including, but not exclusive, to the following:
· To be friendly, approachable and professional to parents/carers and children.
· To play alongside the children, engaging them in activities as they learn through their play.
· To assist in planning and setting out of equipment and activities to meet children’s current interests and developmental needs.
· To assist in observing children’s play and development to help create a personal ‘learning journey’ for each child.
· To complete daily diaries detailing each child’s day.
· Light cleaning duties, necessary to the running of the business and to keep children safe.
· Helping with snack and mealtime preparation and serving.
· Helping to ensure that the play environment is set up ready at the start of the day and is cleaned and tidied away at the end. Including making health and safety checks.
· To be aware of and to always follow published policies.
Experience
Minimum Level 2 Qualification in Childcare.
Paediatric First Aid and Child Safeguarding. The successful applicant must be willing to attend these courses and keep them up to date as part of their job role.
Must be willing to obtain a DBS Enhanced Disclosure to prove suitability. (paid for by the applicant)
Any other relevant training is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided on the job.
Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
