Start date: Flexible, ideally no later than 1 October 2026
We are looking for an experienced, confident and hands-on Building Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of our residential buildings.
You will be the main point of contact on site, dealing with resident queries, maintenance, complaints, contractors, move-ins and move-outs, building checks and general operational issues. Most importantly, you will be expected to take ownership of issues and follow them through until they are resolved.
Our wider business includes residential lettings, short-term/Airbnb accommodation, car parks and other property-related operations. We therefore need someone with a flexible, helpful attitude who is willing to assist across the business when required, rather than seeing tasks as strictly outside their role.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of the buildings
- Handling resident queries, complaints and maintenance issues
- Coordinating contractors and ensuring works are completed
- Managing move-ins, move-outs, access, keys and inspections incl. conducting inventory/checks
- Keeping buildings and communal areas well managed and presented
- Maintaining accurate records and following company systems and procedures
- Assisting with viewings and other property-related tasks when required
- Supporting the wider property business wherever reasonably needed
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 1 year property/building management experience
- Confident working independently without constant supervision
- Organised, proactive and good at problem-solving
- Strong computer skills and comfortable using different systems
- Good at following processes and keeping accurate records
- Helpful, professional and confident dealing with residents, contractors and guests
- Reliable, practical and willing to take responsibility
- Flexible attitude and willingness to help where needed
This is a busy and demanding role with a lot of responsibility. We are looking for someone who is comfortable being trusted to manage the building, make sensible decisions and get things done without needing to be constantly managed.
The role is full-time, but some flexibility will occasionally be required where operational or urgent matters need attention.
Pay: £39,000.00-£44,000.00 per year

Application question(s):
- Scenario: It is late Friday afternoon. An Airbnb guest has checked out and reports that the dishwasher is not working. The Airbnb host/property owner is also your employer/client and the landlord of the entire block of flats.
You contact maintenance, but they tell you they cannot attend until Monday. They explain that the likely issue is that the dishwasher door has become slightly misaligned and gently pulling it slightly out and lifting/adjusting the door should resolve it.
What would you do?
- What software/apps do you use to organise your workload, tasks, calendar and follow-ups? How do you make sure an issue you cannot resolve today doesn't get forgotten?
Experience:
- building management: 1 year (required)
Work Location: In person
