Position: National Account Manager
Report To: Director
Working Hours: 9am – 5.30pm
Salary: £28,000-32,000 per annum negotiable
Holiday: 22 days plus 8 bank holidays + Loyalty scheme to earn more holiday
Job Overview: Working as part of a small team the job is to encompass the handling and management of small to medium accounts. Dealing with customers on a daily basis the successful candidate will be expected to handle sales enquiries and provide pricing plus market advice where appropriate. Working alongside the existing team training will be given and support is constant. You will be expected to visit customers where necessary, building on the day to day relationships you’ll have with them. Some overseas travel may be needed as the role progresses. Reward scheme for adding new customer over time.
Liaising with colleagues, customers & suppliers to ensure customer orders are met as required
Handling customer enquiries for pricing in timely fashion
Managing small to medium accounts totalling a spend over £1 million per annum
Working alongside buyers & senior management to provide customers with best market information on various commodities
Initiative to identify potential new customers & confidence/capabilities to convert from potential to existing
Updating company website & sending mailshots to customers where information might be relevant
Assisting operations with processing of orders if required
Some social media, market reporting and general marketing work
Business development and adding new customers as time progresses.

Ability to create long lasting relationships both externally & internally
Competent with Microsoft office & ability to learn new systems
An attitude to muck in during busy times
