About the Role
We are looking for an organised and proactive Resources Assistant to join a busy education environment, supporting both staff and students by producing high-quality printed and digital learning resources.
This is a varied, fast-paced role where priorities can change throughout the day, so you'll need excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple requests while maintaining high standards.
You will work closely with teaching and support staff to create classroom materials, manage printing services, maintain equipment, and ensure resources are available when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce booklets, worksheets, newsletters, magazines and other teaching resources.
- Print, copy, laminate and bind a wide range of documents.
- Create posters, banners and display materials.
- Design and format printed resources using Microsoft Office and other design software where required.
- Edit photographs and images for use in educational resources.
- Print and prepare examination materials.
- Produce staff and student ID cards.
- Monitor and manage incoming printing requests through an internal job management system.
- Coordinate workloads and prioritise urgent requests.
- Order paper, toner, ink and other printing consumables while maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- Keep accurate records of completed work.
- Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of production equipment and arrange engineer support when required.
- Follow all health and safety procedures when operating printing and production equipment.
- Travel between multiple education sites when required.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working in a busy office or customer-facing environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using Adobe software or similar creative packages.
- Ability to edit photographs and images.
- A positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Flexible, reliable and able to adapt to changing priorities.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel between sites.
- GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience working under pressure while maintaining high standards.
Desirable
- Experience using Adobe InDesign or similar graphic design software.
- Creative flair for producing engaging printed and display materials.
