We are seeking a proactive and experienced Yard Foreman to join our busy Hull depot. In this pivotal role, you will drive the efficient operation of our yard, overseeing the seamless repair, refurbishment, and fit-out of our modular buildings and cabins. You will champion health and safety, setting a high standard and inspiring your team to achieve exceptional levels of quality and productivity. About The Role
Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence: Lead the repair, refurbishment, and fit-out of modular buildings and cabins to AQPG standards. Ensure the depot maintains optimal stock levels, preparing welfare units for immediate hire upon return.

Team Leadership & Development: Inspire and motivate a productive team, acting as a skills mentor for junior staff and apprentices. Effectively delegate tasks and foster a collaborative working environment.

Quality & Customer Focus: Conduct thorough inspections of units before delivery to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Inspect returned units, accurately reporting any damages or missing items.

Safety & Compliance: Champion health and safety, conducting periodic checks on 'working at height' equipment and providing staff training. Ensure all work adheres to company Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and current Health & Safety Legislation.

Resource Management: Manage and secure the workshop, hire yard, and stock. Organise and oversee subcontract labour when required, negotiating and ordering materials from approved suppliers to minimise wastage.

Administrative Accuracy: Complete and submit all company documentation accurately and on time. Liaise effectively with the Depot Manager to ensure timely completion of orders.

Flexibility: Be prepared to work additional hours (overtime) as reasonably required to meet business needs.
We're Looking For:

Proven experience in cabin fitting or modular building fit-out.

Demonstrated management or supervisory experience in a similar operational role.

Strong ability to lead, motivate, and effectively delegate tasks.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Practical experience with plumbing, joinery, and basic electrical work.
