Criminal Justice Worker
Location: Bolton
Contract: Temporary, initially 4 weeks with potential for extension
Hours: Full-time
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour PAYE or £18.00 per hour Umbrella
Seven Resourcing is recruiting for two experienced Criminal Justice Workers to join a specialist team in Bolton on a temporary basis.
We are looking for confident and experienced professionals who can quickly integrate into a busy service and work independently. One successful candidate will manage an allocated caseload, while the other will support the team by undertaking Criminal Justice duty responsibilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in substance misuse services and a strong understanding of the criminal justice system.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a caseload of individuals accessing the service.
- Undertake Criminal Justice duty responsibilities and respond appropriately to referrals and enquiries.
- Provide high-quality support, advice and interventions to service users.
- Work with individuals affected by substance misuse and complex needs.
- Assess individual needs and develop appropriate support and recovery plans.
- Maintain accurate, timely and confidential case records.
- Work collaboratively with criminal justice professionals, substance misuse services and other partner agencies.
- Manage risk and escalate safeguarding or other concerns appropriately.
- Support individuals to engage with relevant treatment, recovery and support services.
- Work independently while contributing effectively to the wider team.
Applicant Requirements
- Previous experience working within criminal justice, substance misuse or a closely related service.
- A good understanding of the criminal justice system and the challenges faced by people involved with it.
- Experience managing a caseload and working independently.
- Strong assessment, case management and record-keeping skills.
- Experience undertaking Criminal Justice duty work would be advantageous.
- S1 experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to a new service and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- A confident, proactive and professional approach.
