Hiring Kitchen Steward - URGENT HIRES (EXPERIENCED ONLY)

Awadh is a new Indian restaurant in a prime location in Pinner. We're experiencing heavy demand for our delicious food and are looking to hire more staff.
Reports to: Chef
Summary of Position: To ensure the back of the house remains clean and well-maintained. Responsible for dishwashing duties, including all relevant kitchenware and equipment. To complete all tasks defined by Chefs and front of the house manager. To handle cleaning of all crockery and cutlery, collecting stores and food to restock the cupboards and fridges, along with the disposal of rubbish. To lead the inventory and maintenance of all operations related to serviceware, including cutlery, crockery, etc.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Keep the kitchen and store areas clean and tidy.
* Washing up, cleaning, and clearing all kitchen areas.
* Emptying bins, sweeping, and mopping floors.
* Use of cleaning products in a safe manner.
* To follow cleaning procedures, including the use of equipment.
* Ensure the hygiene, cleanliness, and tidiness of the kitchen and food counters to achieve total customer satisfaction and meet company standards.
* Follow all Health and Safety requirements for the Kitchen, including food storage and manual handling.
* Disposing of any waste following the guidelines given.
* Unloading and putting away deliveries in dedicated areas.
* Ensuring all equipment is clean and put away correctly.
* Deep cleaning kitchen, fridges and storerooms to maintain sanitary and kitchen safety standards.
* Ensure all utensils, crockery, and cutlery are clean and stored correctly.
* Restock the cupboards and fridges when stock arrives.
* Supports the Chefs with the running when the kitchen is busy.
* Well-organized with good time management skills.
* Maintain a good working relationship with other colleagues in all areas of the lounge.
* Able to work individually and as part of a team.
* Any other request within the scope of the position.
* The days and times of work will be on a rota basis over 7 days.
Qualifications / Essential Skills:
* Basic written and spoken English required.
* Ability to lift/carry/push items of up to medium weight.
* Previous experience in a Kitchen is an advantage.
