Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes , assisting with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans
- Support clients with mobility and daily activities to promote independence and comfort
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and documentation protocols
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Follow health and safety guidelines to minimise risks and ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Support with medication reminders and basic health monitoring as required
- Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments when necessary, ensuring their safety at all times
- Contribute to the development and review of individualised care plans in collaboration with the care team
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records electronically are required
- Driving experience or a valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving client transportation
- A caring attitude, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills are fundamental to delivering exceptional care
