We are looking to employ the right candidate to work alongside our existing workshop team to keep up with increasing demand.
Predominantly workshop based but with weekends during race season on a rota basis.
This is an ideal opportunity for the right candidate to step into the exciting world of classic, performance and racing cars
We require a motivated enthusiastic technician with a passion for all things classic/performance car and a keen interest in going racing.
The work is fast paced but also very eclectic and interesting, you will get to work on a wide range of classic vehicles from Morris Minors through to 450bhp thoroughbred race cars!
The individual must be very self-motivated and able to manage their own workload but also be a team player as we are a small business and require everyone to share the same vision.
The right must be experienced in classic car repair and diagnosis, with a knowledge of carburettor systems, kingpins and old car electrics as well being knowledgeable on more modern vehicle systems such as injection, modern electrics and ECU’s.

Duties:
Duties to include diagnosing and repairing a range of vehicles from the 30’s right up to modern day.
Routine maintenance and repairs.
Full ground up re-build on road and race cars.
Engine installation and setup.
Suspension installation, setup and corner weighting.
Support other team members in their duties.
Requirements:
A minimum of 4 years as a full time mechanic.
A genuine enthusiasm for the classic car lifestyle.
Must have previous classic car knowledge and hands on experience as a mechanic or be a trained modern car mechanic willing to learn.
Electrical diagnosis and wiring repair skills.
Be customer facing and personable.
Self-motivation and the ability to manage your own workload is a must.
Must have a full UK drivers’ licence and be able to tow, be confident to use a single car transporter.
(training can be given as long as you have the relevant licence)
Race experience a bonus.
Working hours 8:30- 5:30 Monday to Friday plus weekend overtime
